Waddingtons began printing round cards in 1929 until they were put on hold in 1940 due to the war. This is the second edition which started in the early 1950`s and ran until the late 1990`s. They can be identified by use of a standing Joker (1st edition had sitting Jokers) and lack of All British Make reference. The box also utilizes the name of ‘Rondo’ instead of ‘Cir-a-lar’. The 2nd edition switched from the lace style Ace of Spades to the De La Rue style in 1969.
