A happy families game with indices, based on an earlier (1940s) game with fewer authors and no indices. Each number and court card shows a different author and each suit of the same number shows a different one of the author’s works. As an example, Alfred Lord Tennyson appears on the jacks, and ‘Charge of the Light Bridade’ appears on the jack of spades; Crossing the Bar appears on the jack of diamonds; Idylls of the King appears on the jack of clubs; and The Brook appears on the jack of hearts. The backs are one way with a white Bordered, and show a Victorian street scene with a castle in sepia. The deck contains no jokers. A card with rules is included.
