The Hidden Hand Society Presents The Laurel Grove South Cemetery Elucidation (Divination) Deck by Holly Oddly (Holly L’Oiseau) The Answers Lie Within If a divination deck is all about looking outward to the supernatural, then an elucidation deck is all about looking inward to the natural, revising the powers of intuition that live inside you. This 44 card deck is inspired by one of Savannah, Georgia’s most beautiful cemeteries. Inside, you’ll also find a guide booklet with interpretations for each card. I am illustrating a 44-card divination deck that is inspired by my morning walks in Laurel Grove South Cemetery (a.k.a. LGS). When the tourist season revs up in Bonaventure Cemetery, I love to walk the rolling hills of LGS. Its quiet, winding paths and dappled sunlight through the massive Live Oak trees are a calming solace when I need space to clear my head. Aside from being a haven from the too-busy outside world, it’s also the final resting place for many of Savannah’s most notable citizens. The deck will be made on thick, 350gsm cardstock and will have gold edging, and a matte finish. The box will be magnetic with a flip open lid. There will also be a guidebook with a little bit about the deck, a suggestion on how to use it, interpretations for each card, and a small bio for the maker (Hey, that’s me!). There will also be a couple of cards that talk about some of the residents buried in LGS that are above and beyond the 44 cards, and a pretty ‘lil thank you card. The cards will be playing card size. Overall, the deck will look lush, polished, and will wear well over time.
