Think of all of the times you’ve stared at a deck of cards… Whether you’re admiring the back design, tuck, pips or courts. Well, what if the cards are tired of being looked at? WHAT IF this time, the cards were staring right back at you?
We are both huge fans of films and one of my favorite moments in television and movies is when the characters break the fourth wall.
“Breaking the fourth wall” is defined as when a character interacts directly with the audience thereby acknowledging the fictional nature of the performance. The “fourth wall” is the invisible barrier between the performers and audience. When a character speaks to the audience or camera, they effectively break this barrier thus drawing attention to the significance of the moment.
