Deck Details

Full Description

Cards had been produced promoting the Conservative and Unionist party (Now the Conservative party), for a period of year, since their joining in 1912. Until 1958 CCO was based at Abbey House, Victoria Street, London, then moving to No. 32 Smith Square. CCO moved in 2004 to nearby 25 Victoria Street for more high-tech facilities and subsequently became known as Conservative Campaign Headquarters (CCHQ). On 6 March 2007, CCHQ moved again, this time to 30 Millbank, On 10 February 2014, CCHQ moved to its current location at 4 Matthew Parker Street. This deck states that they are at Abbey House, 2-8 Victoria St, whilst another says 110 Victoria St. There were a further 2 box designs, once they had moved to 32 Smith Square (see photos) Based on identical packs for sale on E-bay which are open, the date of this set is be around 1957-58, just prior to the move. The ace is the design used from 1957-69 and the courts are the De La Rue design, despite being made by Waddingtons.
