West German made deck of 52 cards and 3 jokers, commemorating the engagement of Prince Charles to Lady Diana Spencer in 1981. The cards are house in a clear hard plastic container only. There is a symbol on the ten of hearts: white heart in a blue diamond in a white circle, Bordered in blue. For over a century until 1996, F.X. Schmid was an important German manufacturer of playing cards (traditional card games and quartets), board games and puzzles. It was considered one of the major European manufacturers. In 1995, its turnover was 67 million DM and there were around 250 employees.
