Reading the information from Star Trek the Next Generation (Daniel Vollmer) (portfolio52.com) Daniel Vollmer, from Germany, licensed these Star Trek cards to Paramount Pictures. Tricorder Records in Germany produced two versions of STTNG playing cards. One is a boxed set of two 55-card decks and the other is a single deck poker deck. However, this may be a THIRD deck, or the single poker desk referred to above, but is in actual fact a short 32 card deck, consisting of 7, 8, 9, 10, Jack, Queen, King, Ace and no Jokers. The suits are: Romulan, Federation, Klingon and Cardassian. The latter replaces the Borg suit, found in the 52 card set. There is a promotional card for Tricorder records, with a picture bizarrely of the classic Star Trek Enterprise. The sets were released in 1996.
