There is also a series of symbols at the right of each card categorising the knot and its uses, and a simple hint on the right hand side. The name of the knot is at the top and bottom of the cards. The usual pictures for the cards (ex. two vertical spades for the two of spades) show behind the knot instructions in a light grey, except for the ace of spades, which is more prominent. There is two-way artwork of people from the 1800s for the court cards, and the knots instructions are arrayed around them. Spades have knots for horses; Hearts have knots for camping; Clubs have knots for boating and fishing; Diamonds have knots for climbing. The backs have a Bordered and are one-way, as pictured on the back of the tuck box. The jokers are different and feature decorative knots with a cartoon cowboy fishing in different poses. There are two additional instructional cards with words on the front and back.
