Deck Details

Full Description

174 backers pledged $5,888 USD on March 25, 2015 to fund this KickStarter project which featured unique and custom cartoon style drawings about love on each card, forgoing the use of traditional pips.  They were designed by Natlia Silva and printed by MPC on 310gsm French casino quality card stock with black core (linen finish), available in standard deck and uncut formats.

Original plan was to print the tuck box without any embossing. During the campaign backers were offered to upgrade any number of their decks to include embossing on their tucks. This upgrade cost $2 per deck. Once the production finished and Natalia received the cards there was an apparent problem. All 500 decks were produced with embossed tucks and not only that, they had the wrong embossing applied (where the entire area around the hearts and title/tagline were negatively embossed as an indentation instead of raised hearts), see Update #8 on the project page.

As a result of this error MPC reprinted the deck for those backers that wanted the correct embossing applied to the tucks.

The final numbers of decks produced were:

  • None without embossing
  • 500 with ‘wrong embossing’
  • 130 with ‘correct embossing’

This entry is for the decks with ‘wrong embossing’

Database entry for the decks with ‘correct embossing’ can be found here
