If so, you may have noticed that the Butterfly cards I was using had a black Bordered around them, specially designed to fool the presenters. I had printed 30 ungilded decks in China just for this performance and never intended to gild them. But once I’d seen how amazing the black gilding looked on the Black & White decks, I realized how insanely good it would look on these Fool Us Decks—the black Bordered flowing over the edge into the black gilding. Gorgeous! So let’s do it! Let’s gild these babies with our 1800% stretch goal. Hell, let’s do it anyway! Scrap the goal. We know we’re going to reach it!
