Description from Kickstarter campaign: The Conquest of Khwarezmian Empire (1219) was the begin of PAX MONGOLICA as this event somewhat paved road for recognition of Diplomatic Immunity in the world. After execution and robbing merchants and messengers from Mongol Empire by Inalchuk (Kaiyr Khan), Governor of Otrar in 1218, Genghis Khan sent two Mongol messengers with an Arabian to Khwarezmian Shah demanding to give back goods of merchants and handling him Inalchuk. History with the first envoy repeated by the humiliation of two messengers by shaving their heads and beards and killing Arabian translator. The punishment followed and executed by harshly and fiercely. Next year Genghis headed invasion of 150 thousand army to Khwarezmian Empire. Mongols caught Inalchuk in 1219, and they told him that “You were greedy and eager for goodies and treasures. So you can enjoy it in full now”. Then they poured melted silver on his eyelids, nostrils, and mouth. It happened exactly 800 years ago. It was a lesson, which is impossible to be forgotten. We designed the playing card fully dedicated for this history. The court cards selected are based on actual people involved. All of the cards were inspired by existing illustrations and monuments found from that time and translated into elegant designs. All courts are consisted from historical persons like Khwarezmian Shah Mohammed, Inalchuk and Terken Khatun then Jochi (elder son of Genghis Khaan), Qulan Khatun and generals from both sides.
