I created a high quality, limited edition deck of playing cards that features 55 of my original hand cut bird collages. This deck was printed by the United States Playing Card Company, makers of Bicycle Brand decks, so they will last for years and years of continuous use. They are printed with 100% recyclable and repulpable paper, 100% nontoxic inks, starch based adhesives, water based coatings, and USA based and FSC certified raw paper suppliers. Using scissors, I designed the artwork used on all card backs and the front of the box. Fifty four cards, each with a completely different full colour artwork of a bird collage designed with cut paper. The backs are one-way and Borderless (Full Bleed), as per the front of the tuck box. The jokers are different and feature collages of birds with eggs. The court cards feature birds in trees, apart from the jack of diamonds, which is on a log. Two additional advertising cards are included about the artist, Hilary Pfeifer and her business in Portland Oregon. These two cards do not have the same backs as the other cards.
