Apoteosi is a deck of poker playing cards by TWI (Thirdway Industries), inspired by the genesis of the World. Designed by the Italian designer Giovanni Meroni.

Apoteosi is the deck of the (re)creation of the World.

Despite the strong link between Apoteosi and Apocalisse, they may be considered separate series. You can consider Apocalisse a prequel to Apoteosi, or vice versa. They represent a cycle of destruction and rebirth that often occurs in my projects.

Author’s note: Apoteosi was designed immediately after Apocalisse, in Spring 2020. Italy was still in lockdown, and I was scared and worried about the pandemic (well, I still am).

After a project focused on destruction and despair–made mainly to exorcize the fear–I wanted to do something focused on rebirth. After all, I am an optimist, and I wanted a happy ending.

I hope this project will inspire positive thoughts about the future.
