Deck Details

Full Description

Like running your hands over the scales of a snake, Viper Finish is named for the silky feel with a unique smooth, dry, yet slippery texture. Viper Finish is the goldilocks of feel, handling, and durability. As a bonus, it is highly resistant to changes in humidity, which not only is great for some magic techniques like breather crimps, another bonus is you don’t get that ‘pop’ in the deck when you fly or travel to a dry climate, and the decks don’t inflate and get soggy in humid climates like Singapore or Hong Kong. A truly new feeling card stock like nothing else on the market. We hope these decks spark a bit of joy in your life, not only for how they look, but how they feel in your hands. Shuffle your way to a brighter and friendlier future! Paper + Coating + Heat curing + LPCC proprietary processes = VIPER FINISH™ Viper Finish blends the thinness and snap of Master / Diamond Finish, with the soft flex and feel of the popular but rare Stud Finish. All of these advantages without destroying the fibers of the paper by crushing the stock, which can make a deck feel great, but weaken the cards and makes them much less durable. If possible, it is better to crush the fibers at your own pace by breaking them in with regular use. Your decks will last longer and feel just how you want them to. The v.1 deck is Pantone Color of the Year 2020 is Classic Blue—a familiar, calming shade of azure. At Legends PCC, we are lovers of all things related to card and color, and feel these colors are well suited to a subtle injection of white (the card stock). Pantone’s colors seem to be a cleverly crafted color story rather than a trend, perhaps selected as psychological reaction to the difficult year the world has had in 2020, from political upheavals to the pandemic and general negativity. The daisy-like hues of illuminating yellow and enduring concrete-like ultimate grey forecast a brighter outlook for 2021 and will be popular colors for this year in print, houseware, editorial, the financial industry, and entertainment. We wanted to keep the deck simple and elegant, with artwork by friend of Legends and excellent designer Nick Vlow, as well as some artwork elements by Grayson Stallings. A card back that feels modern, but doesn’t feel out of place in a poker game or magician’s hands. With magician’s in mind, we included 2 of our signature ex-stripper decks in the limited half-brick set. If you haven’t tried these yet they are simply the best stripper decks on the market, with no exception. The tuck box also features edge painting – the white edges of the tuck are painted so they aren’t as noticeable and don’t ruin the aesthetic. Every detail matters in playing card production and packaging – including the unsightly white edge of the tuck paper stock, which we paint a matching color before packing and cello wrapping.
