Tempo is a deck series produced by the Ark Playing Card Company featuring Tempo Original, Tempo Lab Original, Tempo Plus, Tempo Lab Plus, as well as gilded editions of each. Funded via Kickstarter in 2021, these cards feature multiple innovative features in each deck designed toward cardistry usage. This deck, the Tempo Lab Original edition is one of 800 produced total. The seal identifying the number in the print run can be found on the back of the tuck. The Tempo Lab Original tuck box also features the world’s first mechanical flip card box structure according to Ark. Functionally, this is achieved by releasing the front flap of the tuck and lightly pulling it toward the user, activating a folding structure which opens the remainder of the front of the tuck upwards, allowing the sliding removal of the cards within.
