Annihilation is the story of an invading species of hostile beings from outside of our galaxy and depicts the human fight against the invasion. Each deck of the set represents a phase of the invasion and the court cards a character within each phase. Midnight depicts the arrival of the others. The global space agency is reporting unidentified objects sitting just outside of our atmosphere around the globe. Since the arrival of these objects, almost all living plant life across the world has begun to die. Leaves are falling from trees, plants are dying and shrubbery is shrivelling up.
