The Fuyu-no-Sensu (冬の扇子) Winter tuck is a completely custom tuck with a new printing plate created by EPCC for this project. It has a longer lip, a shallower finger grip for a unique design feature that compliments the custom numbered seal, and is thicker to accomodate the Japanese byobu folding screen insert. The folding screen is expertly made by byobu artisans in Kyoto by hand. Such a product has never been made at this scale before and so the screen artists are developing a trial series. Made from thick quality stock and wrapped with the court prints on textured Japanese washi paper.
