In Norse mythology, Odin is not an omniscient god; in fact, he sought for KNOWLEDGE and WISDOM at all time. He sacrificed an eye in the the Well of Urd for Wisdom and even took the initiative to suffer by hanging himself on the tree for 9 days and 9 nights to reveal the true meaning of runes. His pair of ravens – Huginn and Muninn – did not only act as a messenger bringing information and knowledge to Odin, they were part of Odin.
