Golden Rule – Patron Test Print rejected PATREON REWARD.

Initially Lotrek wanted to scrap the whole production due to that imperfection on a couple of the printing plates. However, out of curiosity he decided to cut some decks to see how they look. Well… they actually look pretty good! The guy at the cutting factory told him that he was completely crazy to scrap all these decks. He said that even for Lotreks standards, it was insane.

Lotrek still didnt approve of that edition being the PATREON reward, now mainly because of other reasons: colors on the back that should have been darker, an un-embossed playing card stock used which looks somewhat ordinary and doesn’t help handling, and finally the foil used, which feels too brilliant on the face cards. However, the brilliance makes the issue with the foil on these 3~4 cards barely noticeable when you fan them. Lotrek decided to save the print, or a part of it. The decks were sold during the GOLDEN RULE Silk Edition sale. They went in a simple but very elegant red tuck box, hand numbered (xx/280) with Gold Foil and marked as TEST PRINT. The decks that remained unsold after the end of the sale were destroyed.
