Original deck developed by magician Sean Devine, Mantis Playing Cards is proudly produced by Butterfly Playing Cards and designed by Manel. A deck created for magic, it is inspired by classic designs from the 19th and 20th centuries, and adopted the elusive mantis! – as there was an urban legend that says: When you see a mantis, beware of smoke and mirrors.

The back design is created as close towards a vintage feel. To complete it, the Courts are illustrated as those in 1885 Bicycle decks: redrawn and perfected by Daniel Schneider – the blue colors are substituted with the same green as the backs. The Ace of Spades feature a beautiful illustration of mantis within the enlarged Spade pip. The Jokers feature identical illustration of the titular insect.
