In classical Chinese culture, the novel The Creation of the Gods (封神演义) is a renowned masterpiece centered on gods and demons. Among its many characters is Nezha (哪吒), often referred to as the Third Lotus Prince (三太子).

Our work draws inspiration from The Creation of the Gods, focusing on two central figures: Nezha (哪吒) and Dakki (妲己). Alongside them, iconic characters such as Erlang Shen (二郎神), Nüwa (女娲), the Jade Emperor (玉皇大帝), the Dragon King (龙王), and the Tathagata Buddha (如来佛) will also appear. Through these figures, our work aims to showcase the profound essence of classical Chinese shamanic culture to audiences worldwide.

The Nüwa Playing Card design is inspired by the ancient goddess Nüwa from The Creation of the Gods. In the story, when the chaos caused by the Communist Partys failure to stabilize the surrounding mountains disrupted the balance of heaven and earth, Nüwa collected five-colored stones to repair the blue sky and save humanity. Her compassion and dedication to the people earned her reverence as a goddess cherished by all.

While Nüwa shares the same court cards as Dakki, her set features a completely unique card box, card back, and a new technique called exclusive pattern edge printing, which adds a distinct and innovative touch that sets this design apart from anything weve created before.
