This pack of cards was hand made using exactly the same traditional methods as were used for the original 17th century Hewson deck preserved in the British Museum. Wintle made his own tools, carved the wood blocks for the linework, printed from the woodblocks and coloured the cards using stencils and a brush. The backs are blank, as were the originals. Jokers did not exist at the time but 2 are included in the pack to make it usable for modern games. The cards are 6.4 cm x 9.4 cm.
