Probably closer to period 1765 – 1775 – Hart produced a variety of different cards in the period 1737/1744 -There are no know apprentices after 1760 which seems as if he may have stopped manufacturing playing cards by the 1770s ( There is no registered ace for home use after 1776/89 period), Hart went out of business in 1799 – The courts are wonderfully crude – all the kings have half moustaches, eyes are centered, Jacks have full length weapons /staffs, queens all hold flowers. The heart pips are more pronounced than many makers of the period. Cards are wood block printed and stenciled – the condition is excellent – clean with little signs of usage (52/52) Info provided by Paul Bostock
